Good News and Bad News

April 29th, 2008

Monday morning we awoke to find that the water level in Lake Muskoka was down another inch and a half. We had bollards on the dock showing above the water and can walk part way to the boathouse without boots on. That was good news. It means that the marinas will soon be able to put boats in Lake Muskoka.

The bad news was that it was snowing, and our beautiful hyacinths and daffodils were being weighed down under an inch of heavy wet snow. Our lounge chairs were covered in white.

By the afternoon it was all gone, thank heavens!

We noticed that the water levels in Lake Rosseau and Lake Joseph are significantly lower than in Lake Muskoka. The docks are all out of the water.
