The Boatworks is at 3 Lock Street in Port Carling.
The Port Carling Boatworks was established in 1925 by Billie Johnson Jr, Harold Cooper, C.J. McCulley, Doug and Cam Milner, R.A. Shields. and R.J. Hutchinson.
During the depression, the company sold the most stock production inboard motors in Canada. Their famous SeaBirD launches were built on site and at a branch plant at Honey Harbour.
