"What Has Been Happening on the
Three Big Lakes
in Cottage Sales?"
Lessons From the Past: Comprehending the past allows the observer to benefit from previous experiences and to alter accordingly how the future should be changed or shaped. Statistical analysis is a powerful intellectual tool.
Statistics
given out for Muskoka
usually include residential,
rural areas and small lakes,
etc. To give you an accurate
view of what's happening,
we have compiled and interpreted isolated
statistics for Lakes Muskoka, Rosseau, and Joseph
sales.
This will provide you the knowledge of the past that you require to make wise decisions about the future.
Your cottage purchase is one of your most important investments. We hope our work in this area of statistical collection gives you information that is useful to you in all the financial decision making that is required of you in this area of your investment portfolio.
MLS Stats: The MLS statistics that we use as the source for our data are derived from the MLS site for Realtors*. Because we use only MLS data, our numbers don't reflect all sales on the three big lakes. Private sales or exclusive sales are not included in our figures.
Our data is collected and calculated by hand and so is not guaranteed to be accurate. It is not intended to be used other than for your personal interest to track trends and to see generalities pertaining to big lake sales. Therefore, please don't duplicate these statistics without our written permission.
Please note that some of our data has changed somewhat from the statistics that we reported last year. This is because we noticed an inconsistency in our data collection. We were including properties on the Indian River and the Joe River, but we had not included properties on the Muskoka River. We have now included all properties that have frontage on a body of water from which one can boat to Lakes Muskoka, Rosseau, or Joseph.
We hope you enjoy your walk through this data.
